Esteban Rodríguez

Esteban, the creative force behind Heartless Ink, was born in Cuba with unmatched creativity and an incredible work ethic. At a young age, Esteban had a keen sense of expression and would create his own toys and draw on any surface available to him. At age 14, he enrolled in the “Academia de Bellas Artes,” an esteemed Cuban art school that is known for cultivating the country’s most promising young artists. After completing his education in Cuba, Esteban moved to Toronto, Canada to continue his studies at the Academy of Realist Art. He excelled in the program and was invited to join the faculty before even graduating. For four years, Esteban dedicated his time to teaching realistic painting and drawing to both new and established artists, quickly building a reputation as a mentor of the art world.

It was during this period that Esteban discovered the potential dormant in the tattoo industry. He saw an opportunity to help the industry evolve by raising the standard of quality. Esteban immersed himself in the world of tattoo art, using his extensive knowledge and skills to produce some of the most realistic and highest quality tattoos. He also took on the role of educating and mentoring fellow tattoo artists to improve their artistry. Today, Esteban continues to create original oil paintings, many of which are part of private art collections around the world. He has also completed a number of official commissions for private clients as well as the movie industry.

Esteban’s vision and dedication to the world of art continue to inspire and elevate not only himself but also those around him. His unmatched creativity and work ethic have always been his most defining qualities. He is a pioneer and entrepreneur called to lead a generation of artists. He believes that through art, we can inspire and elevate the world and the people in it.

Esteban is currently working on a new series of paintings that will be showcased at Heartless Ink studios in 2023.

I, Jonathan Garcia, better known as Cayms, was born in the city of Medellin, Colombia. From my early days, I showed a keen interest in art, taking my first steps into the world of graffiti. It was there that I realized and directed my life towards the world of art, making myself known through my works and murals and opening the doors to the beautiful world of tattoos, despite not having many resources at the time. I have dedicated my life to learning and continue to do so to this day.

I have always stood out for my dedication, commitment, and seriousness when it comes to customer service and the execution of each artwork. In the tattoo industry, I am known as an artist specialized in restoring and covering scars and poorly executed tattoos, giving people the opportunity to improve their self-esteem and shed the shame of showing their bodies for fear of ridicule and rejection.

For me, a tattoo represents a chapter in my life, and with my beliefs in energy, I transmit and receive positive energy to everyone I encounter in my life. I am a versatile artist capable of working in most styles. My preferences in tattoos lie in realism, color, shading, and oriental tattoos. I have devoted time to studying and perfecting the art of oriental tattoos as I believe it is one of the styles that fulfills me the most due to its meanings and artistic expressions.most styles. mikaMy name is Mika, and I was born in Ukraine. I am an architect and industrial designer. I have been drawing since childhood, and from an early age I created sculptures and practiced drawing to show the beauty of our world.
In 2009, I began studying art professionally at the Donbass National Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. In 2015 I started drawing tattoo ideas for my friends & finally, in 2016 I ordered a tattoo machine kit and started practicing. I am currently in Canada and am continuing my tattoo career in Toronto.

I spent 5 years in Germany and Poland as a tattoo artist and then moved to Toronto. I have been tattooing for over 6 years and have found my way in this industry. In this work, I have found not only my own satisfaction in creating something beautiful but also the joy that comes from helping people with the conversion of their old tattoos into new works of art. When my clients are happy it tells me that I am on the right way. I want to keep learning and be able to present something new in this art.

Over the past 4 years, I’ve poured my heart and soul into perfecting my craft, meticulously honing my skills to create beautiful art on skin. I love the challenge of transforming ideas into stunning and lifelike tattoos that resonate with my client. Being able to leave a lasting impression through my art is incredibly fulfilling, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to create something truly unique.

As I grew older, I realised that art can be a powerful form of self-expression and decided to pursue it professionally. Tattooing, I believe, serves the same purpose. Tattoos are created with the same essential purpose of shaping and expressing personal meaning for each individual, allowing them to represent themselves in a unique and powerful way, despite being a different art form.I am confident in my ability to help each individual create a vision of who they truly are and express that through tattoos, given my background in the language of art. It’s an honour to be able to assist people in expressing their unique identities and personal meanings through the art of tattooing.

oliaI moved to Canada three years ago from Russia in search of my true calling. I’ve been fascinated by all forms of art, particularly visual art, since I was a child. I studied photography, painting, drawing, and dance, and I even attended a musical school. But there was something missing, and I needed to truly discover my purpose. So, like many others before me, I set out to discover it.

Today, I call Toronto home, and I’ve found my calling in art. As a student at the Academy of Realist Art, I was able to hone my artistic abilities under the tutelage of Esteban Rodriguez. Soon after, I became an apprentice at Heartless Ink and have been tattooing there ever since. It feels incredible to know that I’m doing what I was born to do. I’m an artist who draws, paints, and makes art on people’s skin. I hope that by tattooing you, I can help you find meaning in your life, express yourself, and tell your story.

arturoMy life has taken me to seven different cities in four different countries and three different continents. I’ve worked in a variety of industries over the years, including shipbuilding and logistics, as well as gaming, design, retail, and entertainment. Nothing, however, beats the satisfaction of seeing a completed piece of tattoo art on a client’s skin. Though I’m new to the tattoo industry, I’m eager to learn and grow in an environment that can provide a world-class experience, and I believe Heartless Ink is that place.My interest in art began at a young age, when my mother gave me a box of Crayola crayons. This passion has lasted my entire life, and I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design because I believe that art should not be static in the life of the person who owns it. Tattoos, to me, are a form of art that you carry with you wherever you go, so they are anything but static.The artists at Heartless Ink share a common interest in academic art, but they are constantly striving to develop their own distinct styles and provide world-class quality in all of their work. Hi there! I’m Vanessa Garzon aka (gemrox tattoos) originally from Colombia, I relocated to Canada two years ago, carrying with me a rich artistic heritage inherited from my grandparents, who were prominent figures in Bogota’s art, fashion, and design scene.

Creativity has been a constant companion throughout my life, beginning with unconventional forms of expression like scratching on dolls and walls, which eventually evolved into a passion for drawing and graffiti. At the age of 15, my journey into tattoo artistry began when my mother gifted me a tattoo kit, igniting a profound interest that has since shaped my career.

Balancing formal education in fine arts at the Academy of Arts and Letters in Bogota with hands-on experience in various tattoo studios, I have refined my skills and gained recognition for my talent and commitment. I enjoy exploring diverse artistic mediums, from digital illustration to epoxy resin work.

My love for tattooing stems from the satisfaction of creating unique, enduring pieces of art on the human canvas—a passion that continues to motivate and inspire me.

JavierGrowing up in a conservative family in Bogotá, Colombia, I was captivated by the aesthetics of tattoo culture when, when I was thirteen, a tattoo shop opened near my father’s business. But because pursuing a career in art or tattooing was not encouraged in my family, I moved to Canada at the age of eighteen to see what was on the other side. To pay for college, I worked a variety of jobs, including carpet cleaning and landscaping, and graduated with a degree in art. Unfortunately, my modern art education did not include any classical realistic art training, leaving me with no real artistic skills for the labour market.

I began working in construction and eventually became a crane operator, but my love of fine art and tattoos never faded. I decided to put my crane career on hold in order to pursue serious academic training in art at the Toronto Academy of Realist Art. After only a year, my skills had advanced to the point where I could work at the best tattoo shops in Toronto. After visiting several tattoo parlours, I discovered that Heartless Ink provided the highest level of professionalism and quality. I’m excited to be a part of the Heartless Ink family and create world-class living pieces of art.

After graduating with a Master’s degree in Ancient Philosophy, I decided that I preferred creating beautiful things over writing about other people’s achievements, and so I began

my studies in classical painting. Since then, I have dedicated myself to realizing my ambitions as a painter in the tradition of old masters such as Rembrandt and Caravaggio.

I approach tattooing with the training of a classical painter adapted to the unique demands of creating images on skin. My training in drawing composition and anatomy allows me to craft designs that flow with the human body. My precision and control with each line has been honed through thousands of hours working on paper, canvas, and now skin. My eye is attuned to value, contrast, focus—all aspects that contribute to a harmonious and beautiful tattoo. But most of all, I love having the privilege of applying my skills in a way that brings joy to other people.
