Ash is a self-motivated innovator and entrepreneur who excels at building profitable businesses. He has extensive experience in project management and workflow optimization due to his background in real estate and construction. He was involved in the formation and management of several businesses, including Heartless Ink.Ash’s involvement in the tattoo industry began in 2019 when he met Esteban, with whom he shared a love of fitness and bodybuilding. They shared a vision of establishing a tattoo studio that would set the industry standard and showcase tattoo art as fine art. This vision inspired the establishment of Heartless Ink, and Ash and Esteban combined their distinct skill sets to create the most powerful brand in Toronto’s tattoo industry.Ash’s role in the business leverages his experience in interior design and construction. He applied his knowledge to create a cutting-edge studio with the highest quality materials and workmanship. He is also heavily involved in the company’s day-to-day operations, supervising strategic planning with a focus on a comprehensive and integrative approach to business operations. This approach enables their team to rapidly mobilise resources for maximum growth and success while maintaining exceptional quality and providing real value to clients.
As a fine artist, I understand the deeply personal significance that art can have for people. The process of making art has taught me the value of hard work and patience, as well as given me a better understanding of the world. Pursuing a career in art has provided me with enormous fulfilment.I’ve always been interested in art and visual representation. As I grew older, I realised that art can be a powerful form of self-expression and decided to pursue it professionally. Tattooing, I believe, serves the same purpose. Tattoos are created with the same essential purpose of shaping and expressing personal meaning for each individual, allowing them to represent themselves in a unique and powerful way, despite being a different art form.I am confident in my ability to help each individual create a vision of who they truly are and express that through tattoos, given my background in the language of art. It’s an honour to be able to assist people in expressing their unique identities and personal meanings through the art of tattooing.
I moved to Canada three years ago from Russia in search of my true calling. I’ve been fascinated by all forms of art, particularly visual art, since I was a child. I studied photography, painting, drawing, and dance, and I even attended a musical school. But there was something missing, and I needed to truly discover my purpose. So, like many others before me, I set out to discover it.
My life has taken me to seven different cities in four different countries and three different continents. I’ve worked in a variety of industries over the years, including shipbuilding and logistics, as well as gaming, design, retail, and entertainment. Nothing, however, beats the satisfaction of seeing a completed piece of tattoo art on a client’s skin. Though I’m new to the tattoo industry, I’m eager to learn and grow in an environment that can provide a world-class experience, and I believe Heartless Ink is that place.My interest in art began at a young age, when my mother gave me a box of Crayola crayons. This passion has lasted my entire life, and I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design because I believe that art should not be static in the life of the person who owns it. Tattoos, to me, are a form of art that you carry with you wherever you go, so they are anything but static.The artists at Heartless Ink share a common interest in academic art, but they are constantly striving to develop their own distinct styles and provide world-class quality in all of their work. This is exactly the type of environment I’m looking for, and I’m thrilled to be a part of a team that shares my love of art and commitment to excellence.
Growing up in a conservative family in Bogotá, Colombia, I was captivated by the aesthetics of tattoo culture when, when I was thirteen, a tattoo shop opened near my father’s business. But because pursuing a career in art or tattooing was not encouraged in my family, I moved to Canada at the age of eighteen to see what was on the other side. To pay for college, I worked a variety of jobs, including carpet cleaning and landscaping, and graduated with a degree in art. Unfortunately, my modern art education did not include any classical realistic art training, leaving me with no real artistic skills for the labour market.
